The Killer Talking Doll: A Creepy Toy Horror Podcast "Dolly Dear"
Game plan
In this chilling episode of Doorway To Nightmare, titled "Dear Dolly," a young girl welcomes a brand-new talking doll into her home. At first, the doll delivers the usual sweet, comforting phrases: "I love you" and "You are my best friend."
But as the days go by, the voice boxes glitch, the synthetic laughter distorts, and the doll begins whispering a terrifying new phrase: "I'm going to kill you." Is it a cruel prank, a manufacturing defect, or has a malicious supernatural entity possessed the plastic toy?
If you are a fan of creepy doll horror movies like Chucky or Annabelle, psychological thrillers, and atmospheric supernatural audio dramas, this deeply unsettling episode will make you lock your toy box tonight.

Speaker 1: It lies in wait amidst your dreams, where nothing is ever how it seems. It is a portal to a terrifying world beyond the doorway to nightmare. Nightmare. Come in. Welcome. I'm your host, Artemis Black. Have you ever had a favorite toy? Perhaps as a child, you had a stuffed animal that you whispered your innermost secrets and desires. The toy, to your mind, was your protector from the evil in the world. knew that this toy would always be your friend.
Speaker 2: Dean, why do you have to be so mean to my child?
Speaker 3: No, she has to learn that there are rules in this house.
Speaker 2: I know, but.
Speaker 3: And when the rules are broken, there are consequences.
Speaker 2: Charity was just playing. There's nothing wrong with a child playing with a doll.
Speaker 1: Oh, no?
Speaker 3: Even if that very same doll is saying that it... Hates us?
Speaker 1: Our mystery drama, Dolly Deer, was written especially for Doorway to Nightmare by Winslow Swan and edited by Crimson McKenzie. Our stars include Isabella Woogie, Crimson McKenzie, Winslow Swan, Will Dorman, and Jonathan Rosignol. I'll be back shortly with Act One.
Speaker 3: If you're enjoying these stories, come over to our YouTube channel, Doorway to.
Speaker 2: Nightmare, where we add a few pics to color your imagination. See the faces behind the voices, too. Come on, you know you wanna.
Speaker 1: Childhood sweet and sunny childhood with its careless thoughtless air like the verdant tangled wildwood wants the training hand of care a poem by david bates ah sweet and innocent childhood where cares and worries do not really seem to matter when a rather simple toy Or in this case, a doll can be a best friend.
Speaker 4: You are my bestest friend.
Speaker 2: Charity, will you come down here please? Okay, Mama.
Speaker 5: No, I won't be very long, Dolly.
Speaker 4: I love you.
Speaker 5: I love you too, Dolly.
Speaker 2: Charity, are you coming down?
Speaker 4: Be right there, Mama.
Speaker 2: Didn't you hear me the first time?
Speaker 5: Yes, Mama. I just had to make sure that Dolly was okay.
Speaker 2: Well, is she?
Speaker 5: Oh, yes, Mama.
Speaker 2: I don't know where you found that doll. You have so many others.
Speaker 5: But they're not like Dolly.
Speaker 4: Oh.
Speaker 2: And what is so special about Dolly?
Speaker 5: Well, she can talk.
Speaker 2: I know. You pull her string and she says, now what is it, six or seven phrases?
Speaker 5: No, Mama. She can really talk. We were talking about Dean when you called.
Speaker 2: Now, you know, he would rather you call him father.
Speaker 4: Mama?
Speaker 2: Yes?
Speaker 5: Why did you have to get married again? I mean, after Daddy went to heaven.
Speaker 2: I suppose I was lonely. You know, Dean has been very good to us.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Now, what is so wrong with Dean?
Speaker 5: I don't know. He just has so many rules. I can't do all of them.
Speaker 2: He just wants what's best for us.
Speaker 5: Dolly hates him. Charity!
Speaker 2: Now that's a cruel thing to say.
Speaker 5: That's what she told me.
Speaker 2: Well, maybe Dolly and I need to have a long talk. Now go upstairs and get ready for dinner before Dean gets home.
Speaker 5: I guess Mama loves him. He does seem to make her happy.
Speaker 4: Would you like to play?
Speaker 5: Not right now, Dolly. I have to get washed up for dinner. We can play later.
Speaker 4: You're my bestest, best friend in the whole world. I love you.
Speaker 5: I love you, too. I hate Dean.
Speaker 4: He is very, very mean.
Speaker 5: But Mama loves him.
Speaker 4: I have seen. He is very obscene.
Speaker 3: Well, now, this looks very good, Martha.
Speaker 2: Thank you, dear heart. I hope you like it.
Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sure that I will. Well, now, there is my little cherry blossom. How was school today?
Speaker 5: It was all right, I guess.
Speaker 3: And what did you learn today?
Speaker 5: Oh, you know, the usual. Mama, can I ask you something?
Speaker 3: It's may I ask you something.
Speaker 5: I'm sorry. May I ask you something?
Speaker 3: There's always time for good grammar.
Speaker 2: Of course, Charity. What is it?
Speaker 5: What does obscene mean?
Speaker 2: Why, Charity, where did you hear that word?
Speaker 3: Probably some older children on the bus, I would expect.
Speaker 2: Well, it means something that is disgusting or offensive.
Speaker 3: Why?
Speaker 5: Where did you hear it? Do you think that Dean is obscene?
Speaker 3: What did you say?
Speaker 5: No, I didn't say it. It was Dolly. She said that Dean was obscene and mean.
Speaker 2: Now look, young lady. That's enough.
Speaker 4: No.
Speaker 3: I don't think that it is enough. Who is this Dolly?
Speaker 2: Oh, it's one of her dolls that she's been playing with.
Speaker 3: Then perhaps Dolly needs to be taught a lesson.
Speaker 5: Oh no, please don't hurt her. She didn't mean it.
Speaker 2: Dean? What are you going to do?
Speaker 3: Do? I'm going to do what my father did to me when I was bad. Dolly is going to the bad closet. So, you think that I am obscene, do you? Well, let's see what you think of me after a night in the closet.
Speaker 4: Dean is mean. Dean's obscene. Dean should be hung in the apple tree.
Speaker 1: I remember growing up and seeing those dolls on television. The ones with the string that you pulled and the funny little sayings. But I never recall hearing about one that threatened somebody. I'll be back shortly with Act 2.
Speaker 1: Dean has just heard his stepdaughter's doll say something that was, well, disturbing. He is now talking with his wife about the incident.
Speaker 5: Dean!
Speaker 2: You must be joking.
Speaker 1: Martha, I swear that.
Speaker 3: Blasted doll threatened me.
Speaker 2: It's just a toy. Maybe you heard it wrong.
Speaker 3: I know what I heard. And what about Charity asking about the meaning of that word?
Speaker 2: Maybe she heard it on television or perhaps the radio.
Speaker 3: Yes, and perhaps I'm losing my marbles.
Speaker 2: Now don't talk like that.
Speaker 3: Was she very upset that I took her doll away?
Speaker 2: Not as upset as I thought she would be.
Speaker 3: Where did she ever get such a thing?
Speaker 2: She said she found it in the backyard one day. I thought perhaps a friend had given it to her, or maybe you even bought it for her.
Speaker 3: Oh no, I didn't buy it. It's just a little unnerving watching her play with it. I've seen her talking to it, having very long conversations.
Speaker 2: I had an invisible friend when I was young, but you know, you grow out of it.
Speaker 3: I just hope that charity grows out of it.
Speaker 5: And fast. Charity! Charity!
Speaker 2: Dolly, is that you?
Speaker 5: How did you get out of the closet?
Speaker 4: Do you really love me?
Speaker 5: You know that I do. Now come to bed. I will.
Speaker 4: But first, I have something important to ask you.
Speaker 5: Like what?
Speaker 4: Do you love Dean?
Speaker 5: Mama does, so I guess I do.
Speaker 4: Are you sure that you love Dean?
Speaker 5: I guess.
Speaker 4: If something were to happen to Dean, would it make you sad?
Speaker 5: It would make Mama sad.
Speaker 4: But what about you?
Speaker 5: Not really.
Speaker 4: Okay, that's all I wanted to know.
Speaker 5: Why? Is something going to happen to Dean?
Speaker 2: Oh, darn it.
Speaker 1: What is it?
Speaker 2: I left my reading glasses downstairs.
Speaker 3: Do you really need them tonight?
Speaker 2: I just wanted to finish up this chapter before I go to sleep.
Speaker 1: All right.
Speaker 2: No, no, no. It's okay.
Speaker 1: No, no.
Speaker 3: I'll go get them. Besides, I'm going to grab me something to drink. Now, where is that light switch?
Speaker 1: That's funny.
Speaker 3: The bulb must have burned out. Hey, who's that?
Speaker 1: Charity?
Speaker 3: Is that you in the dark?
Speaker 1: Now, how did.
Speaker 3: You get out of the closet, Dolly dear? Now, I'll just take you downstairs.
Speaker 4: I don't like you. I wish you were dead.
Speaker 2: What the.
Speaker 5: Ow!
Speaker 6: Did you bite me?
Speaker 4: I wish you were dead. Cut off your head. Watch it roll. Kill your soul.
Speaker 5: Hey, stop squirming around. Look out!
Speaker 7: The stairs!
Speaker 4: Ah!
Speaker 1: Dean?
Speaker 5: Are you okay? Dean?
Speaker 3: Dean? Dean!
Speaker 5: No!
Speaker 1: I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am.
Speaker 5: What happened to him?
Speaker 7: As far as we can tell, he tripped on the carpet on the top stair. took a tumble, and, well, if it's any consolation, he died instantly.
Speaker 2: I shouldn't have said anything about my stupid glasses. That's why he was going downstairs.
Speaker 5: But why didn't he turn on the light?
Speaker 7: I don't know, ma'am.
Speaker 1: I really don't know.
Speaker 5: Mama is really sad, Dolly.
Speaker 4: You are my bestest, best friend. I love you.
Speaker 5: You shouldn't have hurt Dean.
Speaker 4: Dean was mean. Dean was mean. But Mama loved him. Do you love your Mama?
Speaker 5: Dolly, what are you saying?
Speaker 1: What is Dolly saying? The last time that question was asked, Dean had a rather unfortunate accident. Or was it? Perhaps we will find out when I return with Act Three.
Speaker 2: Hi, it's Crimson. We're hoping you're enjoying these stories and do you want to hear some more? Join us on our YouTube channel, Doorway to Nightmare, if you dare.
Speaker 1: It has been almost a week since the tragedy. Martha is trying to keep things as normal as possible for her daughter, Charity.
Speaker 5: Charity....
Speaker 2: We are going to have a long talk about picking up your toys.
Speaker 4: I am your bestest, best friend. I love you.
Speaker 2: Well, now, where did you come from?
Speaker 1: Ugh.
Speaker 2: You really are a creepy little thing. Those black eyes with the lids that close. Gives me the shivers.
Speaker 4: You should be nicer to me.
Speaker 2: What did you say?
Speaker 4: I think that you heard me.
Speaker 6: What the.
Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
Speaker 5: Mama, I'm home.
Speaker 2: Did you have a good day at school, hon?
Speaker 5: Yes, I'm going up to my room to play with Dolly.
Speaker 2: Um, dear, about Dolly.
Speaker 5: I want to tell her about what Brad said about her in school today.
Speaker 2: What did Brad say, sweetheart?
Speaker 5: He called her names like stupid and dumb. I bet Dolly won't like that.
Speaker 2: Yes, well... about Dolly. I'm afraid that she isn't up in your room.
Speaker 5: Where is she, Mama?
Speaker 2: Well, you see, dear, I was cleaning your room today and I accidentally dropped her.
Speaker 5: Mama, what did you do?
Speaker 2: She landed on her head and she broke. Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. I tried to fix her, but she was damaged beyond repair.
Speaker 5: Oh, Mama, how could you?
Speaker 2: It was an accident.
Speaker 3: What?
Speaker 2: Don't worry, honey. We'll get you a new one.
Speaker 5: But I don't want a new doll. I want Dolly. She was my friend.
Speaker 2: My bestest friend.
Speaker 4: You were my bestest, best friend in the whole world. I love you.
Speaker 5: Dolly!
Speaker 2: But I... I got rid of.
Speaker 5: Oh, Dolly, I love you too.
Speaker 2: But I threw that thing out. I know I did.
Speaker 5: And we played some more, and then that old stinker Kevin Wallace came and started kicking dirt.
Speaker 4: I don't like your mother. She tried to get rid of me.
Speaker 5: Oh, Dolly, it was just an accident.
Speaker 4: I don't like her at all. She hates me, so I hate her.
Speaker 5: Dolly, what are you going to do?
Speaker 4: Mommy needs to have an accident.
Speaker 5: Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!
Speaker 2: What is it, Charity?
Speaker 5: It's Dolly.
Speaker 2: She says.
Speaker 5: She said.
Speaker 2: What did Dolly say?
Speaker 5: She wants to hurt you, Mama. She wants to hurt you really bad.
Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sure that she was just playing.
Speaker 4: No, I wasn't.
Speaker 2: No! My God! Put that knife down!
Speaker 4: Dolly hates you. Dolly wants to make you bleed. Dolly wants to make you die.
Speaker 2: No, no, no. This is not happening. Get away from me.
Speaker 5: Stabby, stabby.
Speaker 4: Make you cry. You will bleed.
Speaker 5: And die. Die.
Speaker 4: Die.
Speaker 5: Leave my mama alone. No.
Speaker 1: No.
Speaker 5: Stop it.
Speaker 4: You little brat. Stop hitting me.
Speaker 1: Stop hitting me.
Speaker 2: I'm... your.
Speaker 4: bestest.
Speaker 5: best. One. No!
Speaker 4: I hate you!
Speaker 6: I hate you! I hate you!
Speaker 8: Everything is gonna be okay. The knife wounds weren't that deep, thank goodness.
Speaker 2: How is Charity?
Speaker 1: Sleeping.
Speaker 8: Peacefully. Which is what you need to be doing as well. I'll check on you in the morning and perhaps both you and your daughter can go home.
Speaker 2: You do believe me, don't you? About the doll?
Speaker 8: You've been under quite a bit of stress. What with losing your husband. We can talk about it in the morning. Now get some sleep.
Speaker 5: Yoo-hoo! What?
Speaker 4: You are my bestest, best friend. No.
Speaker 2: Stay away.
Speaker 4: In the whole wide world.
Speaker 5: No!
Speaker 1: Martha stares in horror as she watches the small doll with the large knife inching towards her. I'll be back shortly with a final word.
Speaker 3: If you're enjoying these stories, come over to our YouTube.
Speaker 2: Channel, Doorway to Nightmare, where we add a few pics to color your imagination. See the faces behind the voices too. Come on, you know you wanna.

Speaker 7: Yes, but you love me anyway.
Speaker 2: One of these days, that computer is going to jump up and bite you.
